THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE has sucked up most of the oxygen in politics for months, but it's worth taking one final look at the races for governor across the country.
This year there are 11 gubernatorial contests. In nine, an incumbent governor is seeking another term: Delaware, Indiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia. The other two – Montana and Utah – have open seats.
