Advantages for Jeb Bush: a successful governorship. a largely conservative ideology, fluency in Spanish.
Disadvantages: his last name, his support for Common Core
At Bloomberg, Joshua Green points out that Bush's business dealings would complicate a presidential run in at least three ways:
First is the practical business of extricating himself.
Second is the "Romney problem" -- the broad-brush image of a heartless rich guy who traded on family connections to make himself even richer.
Third is the ammo dump of oppo that his business web generates. Phrases such as "backing from a Chinese conglomerate" invite oppo guys to dig up details that they can use to paint him as the second coming of Raymond Tusk from House of Cards.
